Navicat
|
Navicat is a database management tool that lets users manage multiple databases on remote servers as well as local. Features include Unicode support, wizards for importing and exporting, batch job scheduling, data transfer and synchronization, and Visual report and query builders.
Administrators need control, performance measurement and recover components that Navicat does quite well. It allows access to multiple connections and their configuration in the style of Windows cascading. SSH tunneling and SSL connections support ensures security for administrators. Navicat's review of server status and process list are in real time and includes auto-refresh for tracking and troubleshooting. Backups and data transfers are another concern and Navicat allows the user to schedule them across multiple servers. It can extract SQL from a database backup or just dump the data to a file. It enables exporting in many formats, allows automating these processes and does the same for importing data.
Navicat provides a Report Viewer that allows trial testing of queries and a SQL pad for query development as well as a visual query builder. The user can also view or extract reports for offline viewing using a web browser.
