I need a Linux alternative to Fruity Loops (FL Studio). Anyone have any good suggestions?

We are testing TRAV as a replacement for Cool Edit in a radio newsroom/talk show production environment. Except for the headache in building the QT dependencies, it is performing to expectation. An environment like FL Studio is unnecessary to us.
