PowerDVD was one of the first software based DVD players on the market. It gained enormous momentum by being bundled with many DVD-ROM drive manufactures products - and today offers many more features than just DVD playback. PowerDVD offer crystal clean playback of DVDs as well as other media/formats including DivX/MPEG4. Audio is also an area where PowerDVD has gone to a great effort to provide the best listening experience - supporting DTS and Dolby audio on either two or more speakers.
High definition (HD) has also made it's way into PowerDVD, which supports MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), MPEG-2 HD and WMV-HD. More advanced features include making bookmarks of your DVDs for easy navigation and quickly find yout favorite scene - and skinning so that PowerDVD will easily match your desktop needs.
