The best screenshot program I have had. Have used it now for four months so I now. It meets exactly my needs. Simple and easy as already said.

Excellent, it does the job as intended.

Awesome - so glad I found this.

Note - the default preference is to open the editor without saving the image, which forces you to name the image after editing. If you ALSO check "Save directly (using settings below)", it will still open the editor for you to add notes, but from there it's a simple ctrl+s to save your changes. Nice interface choice.

Great tool.

Did exactly what I needed - created a screenshot, tagged the
button, exported it to my document.

Great tool. I like being able to save PNGs directly to a folder and capture a series of images without having to interface with anything else. It does not use a great deal of resources. I wonder if there is a portable version...

This is a fine alternative to commercial screen capture utilities. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it does full screen, window, and region selection. It allows the user to annotate the screen capture with squares/rectangles, circles/ovals, arrows, and text. Plain and simple. Small initial footprint on memory usage, too. However, with use over time, it continues to eat memory which can be remedied by existing and re-launching the application from the system tray. That's the only reason I don't give it 5 stars.

Perfect. I needed something quick and simple. Snipping
Tool inexplicably does not give you the ability to draw
basic shapes like a rectangle. Clearly the people who wrote
it have never written technical documentation. Greenshot is
PERFECT. Hit the Print Screen button (which no one actually
uses anymore), select a region on the screen and you're good
to go. It does a great job of capturing drop down menus too
because the menus stay active. With Snipping Tool the menus
would disappear on me all the time.

The only thing that's a little odd is that they use
CTRL+Shift+C to copy to the clip board and CTRL+C to copy
the Greenshot objects that have been added to the image
(rectangles, text, etc).

Light and fast. Very good to upload the screenshots in Jira.
